February, 2022. LWVLA President, M. Christian Green testified at the Lafayette Parish and City Council special session on redistricting. LWV of Lafayette adopted a motion at its annual meeting in February affirming positions taken by the state league supporting adding majority-minority districts in Congress, on BESE, the PSC, and Supreme Court, and more equitable representation of voters of color at the Louisiana legislature. To this LWV Lafayette add our concerns to preserve majority-minority districts on the parish and city councils.
