2020 Council Meeting Schedule

The Lafayette Parish Council & Lafayette City Council Meetings will be held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month.

Parish Council meetings are scheduled to start at 5:00pm and City Council meetings are scheduled to start at 6:00pm

Phone the Council

Place Your Name on a List of Citizens in Support or Opposition of an Item

You can phone the council office and have your name placed on a list with your position of Parish council agenda item [INSERT AGENDA ITEM HERE]. You must call the day of the meeting between 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The phone number to call is 337-291-8428.

Speak on a Council Agenda Item During a Meeting

You can phone the council office and have your name and phone number placed of a list of citizens to receive a call during the meeting. You must call the day of the meeting between 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The phone number to call is 337-291-8428. Advise the council clerk you wish to speak on Parish council agenda item [INSERT AGENDA ITEM HERE]. The clerk will take your information and call you during the meeting and allow you to speak to the council members for a maximum of five minutes.  This call will be live and everyone in the meeting will be able to hear you.

Appear in Person

Place Your Name on a List of Citizens in Support or Opposition of an Item

You can appear in person, fill out a blue card indicating your position of Parish council agenda item [INSERT AGENDA ITEM HERE] but you do not wish to speak, and give it to the city council clerk.

Speak on a Council Agenda Item During a Meeting

You can appear in person, fill out a blue card announcing your intent to speak, and give it to the city council clerk.
